Details: Died 3 March 1944 at RNAS Inskip, Lancashire. His motor car was on the airfield and was in collision with a Swordfish aircraft. Carroll was decapitated by the airscrew. Son of Comdr. C. E. Carroll, R.N.R., and M. G. Carroll, of 71 Kingsway, Chandler's Ford, Hampshire; husband of G. E. Carroll, of Brynhelig, Spring Gardens, Cardiganshire. Died at Inskip. Aged 31.
