Commissioned from Sandhurst 14th Aug., 1914. Served in Flanders attd. 1st Bn. Manchester Regt. Oct.-Dec., 1914; and in France with 1st Bn. The King's Liverpool Regt. Jan.-May, 1915. 0.7.
