Details: Born 23rd July 1894 at Kemishford , Woking, Surrey. He was the son of James George Kurn, a railway plate layer, and Sarah Kurn nee Harding. Along with his cousin, Arthur Kurn, his name appears on the war memorial in Woking town square, as well as on the war memorial in the church yard of St. John the Baptist church in St. Johns, Woking, where he was baptised on 2nd September 1894.
