Second son of the late Henry James Archer of Rock House Halberton and of Mrs. Archer of Alfoxton near Bridgewater; husband of Mary Archer (nee Birmingham) of Salem House Uffculme Devon. An all-round sportsman; for some time captain of the Devon County hockey team. Panel 38 to 40.
