I am a retired high school teacher of Australian History and Geography. As well as doing much family history at the moment. I have a deep and abiding interest in the Australian involvement in war through the ages. Some 30 years ago I visited the Australian memorial and cemetery at Villiers Bretoneaux near Amiens in France and looked at a few of the sites where Australians fought on the Western Front.
