Born in 1947 Retired teacher and historian, I have published several books about life during the XVII and XVIII centuries. Son of a former prisoner of war who remained in captivity during five years, I wanted to relate to his military records between 1939 and 1945. Little by little, I arrived at the war memorial of the village where the list of the Canadian aviators is kept. I felt like making these young men who died during a night of September 1942 known. I also appealed to some volunteers to find tracks and I think if it normal to collaborate to a project like yours.
