Born in 1946, son of WWII veteran (8th Army) and grandson of WWI veteran (RNAS and RAF). Now retired after a career in Information Technology and living in Calvados in France close to the battlefields of the last stages of the Battle of Normandy. Interested in all aspects of history, with particular interest in the WWs and a special focus on the Normandy battles since moving here.
