Research into the death of my uncle, a Trooper with the Queen's Own Oxfordshire Hussars, at Rifle Wood, Somme on 1st April 1918 led to my involvement in the memorial to those killed during the attack. I actively research everything to do with the Regiment during WW1 especially this battle and the German Spring Offensive. Am now Honorary Archivist for the Oxfordshire Yeomanry Trust
