Michael Booker
Michael, a former managing Director of Holts Battlefield and History Tours, now lives in France, but works in Cairo, Egypt in the international tourism sector. He was born into a military family and served as an officer in the Reserve and Cadet Forces. He has lived and worked for many years in the Middle East where he has photographed an extensive number of wargraves and memorials for the TWGPP. He is a member of the Guild of Battlefield Guides, a Fellow of both the Royal Geographical Society and Royal Society of Arts and a Fellow of the Institute of Travel and Tourism. His hobbies include military history, photography and collecting militaria, however he is perhaps more famous for his book reviews, which are often featured in a number of family history magazines and specialist web sites. He is currently one of the top 500 book reviewers worldwide on Amazon.
