Harrow, Middlesex. My interest in war graves stems from a visit I made to Belgium and Northern France in 2002, when I traced a large number of graves and commemorations of former members of the Church Lads' Brigade. This gave me the idea to record the same of the CLB members from Newfoundland who died in both wars. The project gives me great satisfaction in pointing out numerous anomalies in the CWGC's database, including locating a 'lost grave' in a local cemetery. Another interest of mine is the George Cross, I have just written my first book, Come if ye Dare, on Civil Defence GC recipients. My interest in memorials and commemorations has led me to tracing the final resting places of many gallant men and women who have held the GC.
