Marple, Cheshire. I'm a keen local historian and amateur photographer. I run the Community web site for Marple in Cheshire and I'm Treasurer of The Friends of Marple Memorial Park, which was given to the community by the Carver and Barlow families in memory of the 141 men of Marple who fell in the Great War 1914 - 1918. Our memorial was extended to add a further 50 names after the Second World War.
