Details: 13th April 1917.Second Lieutenant Herbert George Macmillan Horne 24/1/1898-13/4/1917. He graduated as a pilot on 31 October 1916 and on that day was attached to the 49th Sqdn RFC and then on the 28th January was attached to the 59th Squadron, Royal Flying Corps. Photo courtesy of Sandra Scott, Footscray, Australia HGM Horne was born at Traralgon, Victoria, Australia and his father was Dr Herbert Roger Horne who served as a private in the Cameron Scouts in the Anglo-Boer War (1899- 1902).
