TWGPP is undergoing a process of digitally mapping all the burial sites listed on the CWGC website to assist TWGPP volunteers, cemetery visitors and relatives to locate them using Google Earth.
This facility will show the cemetery location and surrounding area to complement the photographs of the individual headstone or memorial supplied through TWGPP.
Links will be provided to the appropriate TWGPP search pages as an ongoing process where it is intended that the burial site shown will also offer a link, more probably to Google Maps. In addition, files for use with the various satellite navigation systems will also be available for use when actually travelling.
Rather than the indeterminate centre of a cemetery, the location shown will normally be the main public entrance, to ease access by car or public transport. However, please note that TWGPP and CWGC can admit NO liability for errors, inaccuracies or omissions.
Google Earth is required to view the .kmz files. You can download Google Earth if you do not have it or view more information on Google's site. Once installed click on one of the links below and choose to either open it with Google Earth or save it to your hard drive. If you save the files to your hard drive navigate to where you saved them and double click to open them up in Google Earth.
